Bob Hodgson, President

bh-img_1431-cropped-rescaled-2Bob has more than 20 years of experience in applying database marketing, data mining, advanced analytics, and test and learn strategies to optimize marketing programs. He has been an innovator in enhancing the value of customer databases through the use of statistical analysis.

Prior to founding Predictive Marketing, Bob was General Manager of Strategies Unlimited, a market research firm. Bob led the development and sales of market research reports, newsletters, and custom consulting services in the LED, image sensor, laser, and compound semiconductor markets. Under Bob’s direction, Strategies in Light became the leading event in the LED industry. Bob was the architect of the marketing strategies that doubled revenue over a three year period.

As the Vice President of Database Marketing for Key3Media, Bob directed the marketing campaigns for over 100 events. He created marketing strategies based on predictive modeling, customer value analysis, email optimization, market segmentation, market basket analysis, and market research that helped grow attendance to a portfolio of twelve leading high technology events to over 400,000 attendees per year. These marketing strategies were instrumental in growing the conference revenue generated by the events to over $55,000,000 in annual revenue, including a $10,000,000 increase in one year.

Previously, Bob has held senior level marketing positions at International Data Group and Lotus Development. In addition to the market research and events industries, Bob has successfully applied his predictive marketing techniques across a variety of other industries, including publishing, catalogs, software, and non-profit institutions.

He holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration and a BS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Previous to NCI, Adam spent 14 years on the PennWell management team, last serving as President and Chief Operating Officer for Pennwell Corporation’s Advanced Technology Division and as a director of the company, a 90-year-old privately held business-to-business information provider serving the global Advanced Technology, Energy, and Municipal Services markets until May of 2005.


Bill Tobey
ACT International

Mr. Tobey brings more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, having served as Vice President at both GCA Corporation and Micronix Corporation. He is currently President of ACT International, a management consulting firm serving the semiconductor and flat panel display industries, located in Waltham, Massachusetts. Mr. Tobey has served on the board of SEMI and on the U.S. Department of Commerce Technical Advisory Committee for Semiconductors. He is has served on the Board of Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd. in Singapore as well as on other boards. Mr. Tobey holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts University and a master of science degree from the University of Connecticut.

Executive Director
Boston Convention Marketing Center at Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau

As the Executive Director of the Convention Marketing Center, Milt is responsible for the sales and marketing efforts at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and the John B. Hynes Convention Center. Milt has an impressive breadth of experience and leadership , having previously served in several senior executive posts. For 12 years, Herbert served as the Chief Operating Officer of Ziff-Davis Events Division, a publicly traded company that produced major tradeshows such as Comdex and Seybold. The Ziff-Davis Events Division grew revenues by more than 400 percent during Herbert’s tenure. Milt has also held senior level executive positions at Momentix, Persoft, Interactive data Corporation, CSC Consulting, and ADP.
